But, where do we go to find ideas for ways to re-style? There are many different places to find inspiration for new styles. For instance, you could research your dream home and study their decorations and style, or maybe rearrange your shelves to bring in a new flavor without too much change. Those are both great options, but your best bet is to allow your own creative mind to find the new style that suits you!
Inspiration for your re-styling won’t be found in your own home. Get out and explore Columbus to find new ideas for your home. One place to consider visiting is Guiding Light Flea Market! Our vendors sell a variety of artwork, home décor, and other furniture items that you can use to give your new style its own taste and flavor. Flea Markets are the original re-cycling centers. People have been coming to them for years selling their gently used items, keeping them out of the land fill, and letting you discover incredible treasures. You never know what you'll find at a flea market, but you have to go into the experience with an open mind ready to see things in a totally unique way.
Many treasures sold at flea markets are ready to be put to use right away. All they need is someone to buy them and give them a good home. Dishes, furniture, games, books, stereo equipment, vases, jewelry, clothing, and so much more are all waiting for you to discover them.
Some treasures need to be given a new purpose. Where most people would just see a rusty old bike that needs to be trashed, you might see a lamp, a table, part of a garden gate, or even hung upside down from the ceiling. It's just waiting for your creative mind to find it a new purpose.
There was a time when mos people conformed to similar styles. Today, people find their own style in fashion, decoration, and living. Someone might be selling a piece of clothing, artwork, decor, or something else that they think is outdated. With a creative eye, you could add it to your own style for a truly unique look that is all your own.
Some vendors are selling their valued collections. Some are selling things that belonged to a loved one. Some are things that they've had for many years. These treasures are waiting for someone to come along who will love them. Are you that person? Can you save them from being tossed into a landfill?
Bargain hunting is a unique experience! It is the only time a buyer has so much control over an item and its pricing. Nothing beats holding an item in your hands and forming your own opinion on its condition and value.
Many vendors will haggle with you over the price. Have fun bargaining and then tells us about it. We always want to hear about the great deal that you just got.
It's not just older items that you'll find. We get all kinds of vendors.
Many of our vendors are small business owners with dreams and aspirations of one day running their own retail or supply store. Some vendors are selling handmade items like jewelry, clothing, artwork, and much more.
This improves our economy and makes life better for everyone.
Finally, there’s the joy of taking it home today. No waiting for it to be delivered. No worrying if it is going to be damaged in shipping. You can take it home and begin using it now.
When you shop at the Guiding Light Flea Market, you are supporting small businesses, artists, and decorators in Columbus!
Guiding Light Flea Market enjoys working with different artists and decorators around the Columbus area. Not only do we help local artists sell their own artwork, but we are also a great place for artists to find their next inspiration or the finishing piece to their next work of art!
We understand that artists and decorators have a special creative talent that allows them to look at an object and find hundreds of different uses for them. For example, what an average person might see as an old mug, an artist or decorator might take the old mug and create a new flower vase or break it up and use the pieces to create a mosaic. The possibilities are endless when you allow a creative mind to work freely!
If you are an artist or decorator in the Columbus area, we encourage you to come by the Guiding Light Flea Market and show us some of your artistic abilities!
